So here’s a deal that I got from Sugarbush for early January. This trip will run From January 6-8. Weekend trip as usually. Check-in Friday night at 6pm and check out Sunday morning at 10am. It’s a great mountain that is located 1 hour north of Killington, so you get even better conditions and more snow. The lift lines move fast and there are a lot less people there that most of the other resorts.

We will be staying at the Bridges Resort. It is a very nice condo unit with
full kitchen, bathroom, dining table and living room with fireplace.

The Bridges Resort – is located approx. ½ mile from the lifts at Sugarbush South / Lincoln Peak on the Sugarbush Access Road. There are mostly 2 bedroom condos, with some 1 bedroom, 2 plus loft, and 3 bedroom units. All units have microwaves and VCR’s. Most 2 bdrm, 2+loft and 3 bdrm units have in-unit washer/dryers. The Paradise Grocery and Deli is located within walking distance, as well as are several restaurants. In addition there is a Main Reception/Sports Center for all guests use. The Sports Center includes: indoor pool, fitness center, outdoor hot tub, indoor tennis (court fees apply), lounge.

I mainly have 2 bedroom units that sleep 6 in each unit. Spaces are limited
because it is during peak season, and resorts like to make money by selling
out through their retail price and limit group sales a bit. I may be able to get two or three 1 and 2 bedroom units. Availability is based upon time of booking.

Rentals:

I am planning a trip up to Mont Tremblant for MLK weekend. It’s the best weekend to go because most people have a 3 day weekend. Mont Tremblant is one of the nicest resorts in the east coast. They have their own little village, and it’s just a fun place to be. The only downside is that it is far. It is by Montreal, so it’s about an 8-9 hour trip up there. A bus will also be available at $100 per person. I know this is more than what the bus costs for Killington, but the price is due to taxes and a much longer ride to Tremblant. The Bus would be leaving from downtown soho/chinatown area. Corner of Grand and Lafayette St. There are the N/R/W/J/M/Z/6 trains all that go to canal street, and only 2 blocks away from the bus stop. Since this is an 8-9 hour bus ride, I will be leaving the city at 6pm sharp. It will start picking up at 5pm. I know a lot of people get off at 6pm or 7pm and would like to leave later, but due to the distance, I cannot leave too late. If you are interested in going, please see if you get get off an hour early from work.

On the way back, we will be leaving Tremblant Monday morning at 11am to start heading back to Manhattan.

The town is very nice, the accommodations are very nice as well.

I will not hold any rooms without a deposit, so they are first come first serve based on deposit.

There is a non refundable depost of $100 per person. I am in talks and trying to get enough rooms for a 2nd bus if I have enough interest.

Deposit is Due by November 30th and Final payment must be received by December 15th. After November 30th, full payment is required for a reservation. Tremblant needs 30 days advance notice for bookings for the group rate that I get.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed this rather hot and humid summer we’ve had, along with a big wet summer also!  Now that the weather is getting a lot cooler, I figure it’s a good time to start setting up some snowboarding trips.

I will keep the post short since I know most of you will read right past this and scroll right down to the numbers.

After going back and forth, negotiating with the resort all summer, I got them to keep the prices pretty low.  They had to race prices due to all the damage that Irene caused the resorts, but it’s only a few bucks.

For the annual Killington Trip this year, it will be on the weekend of December 9-11, 2011. Killington always has the most open terrain during this time and has the most available terrain for you to ski/snowboard at this time of the year. It’s a good way to warm up the legs for bigger trips during the peak season.

This year, there will be even more snow because they plan on opening more terrain with the newest technology in snow making.

This will be our second trip of the new season. As the season gets colder and more snow falls, Killington Resort prices will continue to go up, so take advantage of these low prices before the peak season hits with much more expensive prices!

Fortunately for you, prices are still way below peak season prices!
